I am pleased to share with you the fall issue of MDAdvisor. As COVID-19 begins to move from an emergent pandemic to a fact of life, we are able to bring you the latest trends and vaccine recommendations. We are also pleased to present two CME articles in this issue on very important topics: “Gender Incongruence and Dysphoria in Young People” and “Mitigating the Risk of Violence in the Healthcare Environment.” We once again bring you the latest updates in healthcare legislation, as well as an interview with Dr. Anthony Alessi, a sports neurologist who is an expert on the diagnosis and treatment of concussions, and a review of the utilization of New Jersey’s Medical Aid in Dying Act since the law’s enactment in 2019.

As we look to 2023, we are so grateful for all of the experts who have weighed in over the past year by participating in our podcast interviews and writing articles to educate us on the most pressing topics. I also wanted to note that MagMutual Insurance Company, the nation’s largest mutual insurer of physicians, and MDAdvantage Holdings, Inc., have reached an agreement for MagMutual to acquire MDAdvantage Insurance Company of New Jersey.
