Practice Assessment and Documentation Review
MDAdvantage's Office Practice Assessment is a one-day, onsite evaluation designed to identify risk control strategies addressing the most frequently cited issues in malpractice claims. The focused assessment usually includes:
- a brief tour of the office,
- an interview with the office manager/administrator, and
- a review of
- office policies and procedures,
- personnel policies (credentialing, staff evaluations, orientation requirements, competency reviews, etc.), and
- selected patient records.
Through this process, MDAdvantage also seeks to learn about other innovative programs or technology that the practice employs to reduce risk and minimize losses. Although not required, physicians are welcome to participate in the assessment.
Following the assessment, a written report will be developed to include findings, as well as performance improvement recommendations. After your review of the report, follow-up consultation regarding implementation of the recommendations is available.
